This blog has been created in order to explore John A. Comenius’s grand work Orbis Sensualium Pictus in particular from a bibliographic studies point of view. The book in itself plays a huge role in the history of publishing merely for being the very first (according to definition) Children’s Illustrated book. This blog explores various copies from 1777 and its main focus is the 1672 copy. In addition there is information on the author, historical context etc. all categorized on the left hand side of the screen.
